BYD said online reports that its in-house humanoid robot codenamed "Yao Shun Yu"—including claims the seventh-generation prototype is being tested at Shenzhen and Changsha, about 150 units are in operation, and the company aims to deploy 20,000 units internally this year—are not true. Earlier, BYD Executive Vice President Li Ke had said BYD is developing humanoid robots.
