The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the matter, reports a former
CIA senior official identified as David J. Lash is accused of fabricating a
highly classified intelligence program and using it as a front to divert
millions of dollars for personal use. Investigators seized more than $40 million
in gold bars from his home.
