[my country Launches Ro-Ro Ship Primarily for Transporting Aircraft Parts] Today (June 6th), a Ro-Ro ship built in my country for transporting aircraft parts was successfully launched at the Wuchang Shipyard of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). After delivery, the ship will primarily be used for transporting aircraft parts. The Ro-Ro ship, launched today, is approximately 169 meters long and 23.32 meters wide. It features six chimney-like rotary sails. These sails are made of aerospace-grade lightweight materials and have undergone aerodynamic optimization, significantly improving the ship's fuel efficiency and economic benefits. Furthermore, the ship utilizes methanol and diesel dual-fuel technology, achieving zero sulfur emissions and reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by more than 80% compared to traditional fuels, meeting the latest emission standards required by the International Maritime Organization. The ship's launching method is also unique; it uses a slanted launch platform, allowing for a smooth entry into the water, much like taking an elevator. It is reported that after launching, the ship will undergo functional tests of its engine, propeller, and electrical system at the dock. The aircraft is scheduled for official delivery in November this year and will be primarily used for transporting aircraft parts across the Atlantic.
