An Israeli study found ovarian cancer patients harbor long-lived B cells
carrying tumor-specific immune memory. On re-exposure to tumor cells these B
cells rapidly generate antibodies that specifically bind the tumor. Researchers
say the finding could inform the development of immunotherapies and strategies to
prevent cancer recurrence.
