Trump said if a deal is reached that ends a three-month conflict between the US
and Iran, the United States would cooperate with Iran to recover and destroy its
highly enriched uranium (HEU). He said if no agreement is reached, the US will
continue to degrade Iran's military until US forces can safely seize the nuclear
material. Trump added the US can monitor related activity via Space Force
capabilities. He said the sides are "very close" to a deal but wants Iran to
make further concessions, including adding language to bar not just development
of nuclear weapons but also purchase, procurement or acquisition—an amendment he
said Iran initially resisted but later accepted.
