Late on the 7th the IDF said Iran fired missiles at Israel in what it called "a
serious mistake" and that it will continue operations across Lebanon while
intensifying strikes on HEZBOLLAH. The IDF said it will not allow Iran to create
a new balance of forces, is prepared for further missile attacks and ready to
retaliate. IDF Chief of Staff Zamir is assessing the situation and is expected
to approve the next operational plan.
