Mindanao, Philippines, at a focal depth of 15 km, the National Marine
Environmental Forecasting Center said. The Ministry of Natural Resources'
Tsunami Warning Center said the quake could generate a large tsunami near the
epicenter but is not expected to cause destructive impact to China's coastline;
the center will continue to monitor and issue updates.
