On June 8, 2026 the Guangzhou Housing Provident Fund Management Center issued the Implementation Measures for Individual Housing Loans under the Guangzhou Housing Provident Fund. Under the Housing Provident Fund Management Regulations, the measures add construction, reconstruction and major-repair loan types for owner-occupied housing to the existing purchase-loan framework and specify application criteria, loan limits, tenors, procedures and collateral arrangements. The changes are aimed at meeting depositors’ diversified housing needs, notably old-community renovations and house rebuilding, and at better leveraging the housing provident fund to support and improve housing conditions.
