June 10 — After EU High Representative Kallas said a new round of Russia
sanctions may include firms in China, Turkey and India, Foreign Ministry
spokesman Lin Jian said China opposes illegal unilateral sanctions that lack UN
Security Council authorization, has lodged stern representations with the EU and
urged retraction, and will closely monitor developments and take necessary
measures to safeguard its legitimate rights.
