Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular briefing that a
draft passed at the LDP general affairs meeting on the 9th calling for revisions
to Japan’s three security documents expose attempts by some forces in Japan to
pursue remilitarization. He accused the draft of needlessly smearing China’s
military activity and deliberately inflating routine regional tensions to
deceive the Japanese public and the international community and to provide a
pretext for accelerating remilitarization.
