ASML (ASML.O) said after negotiations with Dutch unions it will cut fewer jobs than previously planned and that dismissals will not take effect until after May 1 next year. A union spokesperson said employees will be notified next month after consultation with the works council; affected staff have until May 2027 to secure new roles and may receive up to €400,000 in compensation. ASML said the final headcount will be set once the process is complete and the company aims to reduce the overall scale of the cuts; in January it had announced plans to cut about 1,700 roles, roughly 4% of its workforce.
