U.S. strikes in the early hours of June 10 damaged drinking-water infrastructure
in Sirik, Hormozgan province, cutting supply to more than 20,000 residents,
local officials said. Two water-storage facilities were hit, leaving Kuhestak
city and roughly 10 surrounding villages without running water; authorities
supplied tankers amid high temperatures. Mehr news agency reported crews from
the Hormozgan Water and Wastewater Company replaced damaged equipment and
installed a new pipeline, restoring supply to affected areas within about 12
hours.
