China A-shares closed lower after a weak session. Shanghai Composite fell 0.16%,
Shenzhen Composite fell 0.68% and the ChiNext Index slid 1.13%. Helium-related
names rallied, with Huate Gas, Heyuan Gas and Kaimete Gas among several stocks
hitting daily limit-ups. Semiconductor materials outperformed: Jiangfeng
Electronics, Xingfu Electronics and Asichuang hit 20% limit-ups. Lithium miners
climbed in the afternoon, with Guocheng Mining at the limit and Shengxin Lithium
Energy up more than 6%. Kitchen and bathroom appliances, precious metals, oil &
gas extraction, chemical feedstocks and memory chips are also advanced, while
sports, cinema chains, AI, cloud computing, speed-reducer and humanoid-robot
sectors led declines. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen totaled 2.55
trillion yuan, down about 67.2 billion yuan from Tuesday; roughly 1,400 stocks
rose and about 4,100 fell.
