Hong Kong stocks closed lower. HSI -0.65%, Hang Seng Tech -1.46%. PCB names led gains: Kingboard Laminates (01888.HK) up over 10%, Shenghong Technology (02476.HK) up over 5%. Chip names recovered in the afternoon; Lanqi Technology (06809.HK) rose about 5%. Property names were active: Shimao Group (00813.HK) climbed over 6%, CHINA RES LAND (01109.HK) gained about 2%. Lithium battery names firmed—Ganfeng Lithium (01772.HK) up ~5%. Other active themes included commercial space, memory, dairy, media and agriculture. Large internet names weakened: Alibaba (09988.HK) down >5%, JD.com (09618.HK) down nearly 3%. Weakness concentrated in power equipment, AI, robotics, NEV makers, building materials/cement and gold sectors.
