JD MALL has deployed a first batch of trial robotic employees across reception, sales assistance, merchandising and customer consultation. Merchandising robots perform shelving, product arrangement, clutter removal and bed-making; JD says its JoyAI-RA model has achieved a single-item shelving success rate above 90%. JD launched its Intelligent Robot Industry Acceleration Plan 2.0 in early 2026 to accelerate rollout of a robot solutions platform.
