Nanjing held a municipal football work meeting that reviewed reports on national
key-city football development, citywide campus football and preparations for the
"Su-Chao" competition. Officials directed full implementation of football reform
and develop tasks and set four priorities: strengthen youth
development—build the youth-training system, solidify campus football and smooth
player advancement channels to expand the youth talent pool; reinforce
teams—support healthy development of professional clubs and deepen community
football participation to underpin professional squads; build the brand—actively
attract high-level events, fully stage local competitions and amplify events
spillovers to raise Nanjing’s football profile; and optimize the
ecosystem—improve football culture and industry governance to create a clean,
supportive environment for growth.
