CSRC Shanghai bureau deputy director Zhao Guofu said at a June 12 Shanghai briefing that the STAR Market’s Sci‑Tech Growth tier has been established smoothly and is serving as a key platform to support tech innovation. The first newly registered Growth‑tier companies listed in October 2025. To date the tier has incorporated 32 existing unprofitable firms and added eight newly listed loss‑making companies. Growth‑tier companies’ aggregate revenue rose 37% in 2025; six firms exited the tier after reporting first‑time profitability.
