CNN reported Israeli sources say Israel is pressing the US to prevent release of
frozen Iranian assets from being included in any ceasefire deal. Netanyahu has
been in regular contact with Trump, including a call Thursday night; Trump said
Israel was among several regional backers of the agreement. Netanyahu said Trump
committed to making removal of Iranian enriched uranium, dismantling its nuclear
program, limits on missile development and an end to support for proxies part of
a final deal. Trump’s public comments have focused on enriched uranium and he
has not mentioned missiles or proxies for weeks. Israeli sources said they doubt
a US-Iran memorandum of understanding would yield a final agreement.
