June 11 — Shenzhen Market Supervision Bureau convened a citywide administrative guidance meeting on compliance ahead of the 6·18 promotional period. About 103 representatives from more than 60 platforms, e‑commerce firms and industry associations attended, including WeChat Shops, Meituan, JD.com, Pinduoduo and Douyin. The regulator issued guidance across five priorities: transparency/public disclosure, fair competition, subsidy/promotional conduct, advertising/marketing, and food safety. The meeting stressed alignment with a series of new rules from the State Administration for Market Regulation, reinforcement of operators’ primary responsibility, and the need for rational, compliant promotions to maintain a healthy, orderly and fair online consumption environment.
