On June 13 the Shanghai Shipping Exchange said its weekly China coastal (bulk)
transport report showed southern rainfall boosted hydropower output, displacing
thermal generation and slowing northbound cargo movements, leaving ship-to-cargo
balance broadly even and the freight market steady. On June 12 the China coastal
(bulk) composite freight index stood at 1,297.02 points, down 0.8% from the
prior week.
