Jingmen Jinquan New Materials Co. has registered a CNY1 bln project to produce 100,000 t/yr of high‑tap‑density lithium iron phosphate (LFP) with the Jingmen municipal service bureau. Construction is planned to start in October 2026, with a two‑phase build and 60,000 sq m of floor space. The plant will target high tap density LFP (≥2.6 g/cm³) to boost cell energy density and fast‑charge performance, and is aimed at supplying EVE Energy’s own cell lines and nearby major customers. The project anchors a local closed loop from phosphate ore→precursor→high‑density LFP→cells→recycling within the Jingmen national lithium‑battery cluster to reduce logistics and raw‑material costs.
