U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, an ally of Trump, said he welcomed
Iran's agreement to a memorandum of understanding on reopening the Strait of
Hormuz but warned Tehran's interpretation appears to differ from that of the
U.S. negotiating team. He said he will monitor talks on Iran's nuclear program
and other issues, and noted that under U.S. law any nuclear agreement with Iran
must be submitted to Congress for review and a vote. He expects to review the
final draft and said Vice President Vance and the negotiating team should be
involved in submitting the accord to Congress.
