China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) said on June 15 that Chinese
scientists have made a key breakthrough in stable isotope enrichment, achieving
the country’s first autonomous mass production of silicon‑28 with abundance
above 99.99%. CNNC said product performance meets international advanced
standards, marking a substantive step toward building an autonomous,
controllable and collaboratively efficient stable isotope industry.
