The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs monitoring of 500 county markets
and collection points showed week of June 8–14 China live hogs averaged 10.08
yuan/kg, down 0.6% w/w; retail pork averaged 19.77 yuan/kg, down 0.4% w/w.
MARA’s survey of 200 wholesale markets put nationwide wholesale pork at 14.53
yuan/kg, down 0.8% w/w and 28.1% YoY. MARA said normal producer offloading and
processors’ on‑demand purchasing pressured prices; prices are expected to trade
in a narrow range this week.
