China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) have launched a 2026 selection of typical
agricultural robotics application scenarios. The initiative targets three
priority areas—crop cultivation, animal husbandry and primary agriculture
processing—and focuses on seedling breeding, tillage, sowing/transplanting,
field management and harvesting; feeding, breeding, animal-product collection,
waste resource recovery and harmless treatment; and primary processing, storage
and transport. The ministries will solicit and select advanced, high‑maturity,
high‑impact and scalable robotic use cases and strengthen their promotion and
deployment.
