A consumer has filed suit seeking damages and class-action status against
Anthropic, alleging the company misrepresented usage limits for its Claude
subscription tiers, the Wall Street Journal reports. The complaint says
Anthropic marketed Max 5x and Max 20x plans as offering 5x and 20x the usage of
the Pro plan, but actual limits are unclear and appear materially lower. Pro
costs $17–20/month; Max 5x is $100/month and Max 20x is $200/month. The
Plaintiffs seek to represent users who bought those plans since April last year.
