French President Macron said on the 15th he will not yield to U.S. President
Trump’s tariff threats and will not cancel France’s digital tax targeting U.S.
tech giants. Speaking in Evian-les-Bains on public television, Macron said the
levy is part of Europe’s legal framework, some countries have already
implemented it, and the U.S. has no right to set laws for Europeans or the
French.
