CNN, citing three people familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments, reports
that U.S. agencies have recently concluded Iran can now, at any time,
effectively close the Strait of Hormuz to shipping. The assessment says the war
has given Iran a powerful new capability to affect the global economy.
