At the open, major Chinese futures were mostly lower. LPG and fuel oil slid over 4%; Shanghai crude (SC) and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) dropped more than 3%; Asia‑Europe container freight fell nearly 3%; benzene was down over 2%; bitumen declined about 2%; methanol fell just over 1%. On the upside, urea and cotton rose nearly 2%; cotton yarn, No.20 rubber, broader rubber contracts, stainless steel (SS) and Soybean No.2 gained more than 1%; palm oil advanced about 1%.
