Walmart China said Sam's Club China chief procurement officer Zhang Qing has
resigned. Neil Maffey will serve as acting CPO while the company conducts a
global search for a permanent successor. Tony Paladinetti, currently SVP,
Strategy at Walmart International, will join Walmart China as SVP, Strategy
reporting to Zhu Xiaojing. During the transition Maffey, former Sam CPO and
current full-time adviser, will report to Liu Peng, president of Sam's Club
China, until a new CPO is appointed. Zhu Jun, president of Walmart's store
format, will take on additional responsibility for Walmart China real estate.
