Pakistan's prime said minister the U.S. and Iranian presidents electronically
signed the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding today, which he approved as
mediator. He said the memorandum takes effect immediately: Iran will reopen the
Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. will lift its maritime blockade. Pakistan, with
Qatar's support, will hold a formal ceremony and technical talks in Switzerland
on June 19, 2026.
