The Chinese embassy in the Netherlands said it strongly objects to passages in
the Dutch government's International Security Strategy 2026–2030 that it says
misrepresent China’s development path and foreign policy and hype a so‑called
'China threat.' Beijing expressed serious concern and dissatisfaction, urging the
Netherlands to stop spreading false information and broadening national‑security
concepts to target China, and reiterated China pursues peaceful development and
an independent foreign policy and is a source of global opportunity and
stability rather than a threat.
