President Trump posted late saying the US acquired a 10% stake in Intel to
revive domestic semiconductor design and manufacturing. He said he arranged
Nvidia to partner with Intel on first‑tier chip manufacturing, Elon Musk to
build a TerraFab co‑designed with Intel, and Apple to collaborate with Intel on
US chip design and production. Trump said Intel was worth about $100 bln when
the offer was made and is now worth more than $600 bln — a stated $500 bln+ gain
in nine months — leaving the US holding worth over $60 bln.
