At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts declined, with lithium carbonate falling over 6%, coking coal falling nearly 6%, and eggs, fuel oil, polypropylene (monthly average), polypropylene, platinum, and soda ash all falling over 3%. On the upside, container shipping to Europe rose nearly 3%, fiberboard rose over 2%, and PTA, staple fiber, paraxylene, and bottled fiber rose over 1%.
