Carlos Cendra of Data Appeal said a U.S.-Iran agreement could support Middle
East tourism by restoring tourist confidence and improving perceptions of
regional security. He said the deal would reduce regional spillovers that
typically depress demand in destinations not directly involved in conflict.
International scheduled flight capacity in West Asia in May–June was about 10.1%
below pre-conflict levels. He added that early recovery is likeliest to show in
increased willingness to travel, with booking activity following later.
