On June 18 the UAE approved a regulation setting 15 as the minimum age for
social media use. Children under 15 are banned from registering, operating or
accessing personal social accounts and cannot post, comment, share information
or join public groups, the government media office said. The UAE is the first
Arab country to impose such a restriction.
