Guangdong issued an implementation plan to expand and upgrade the services
sector, directing accelerated construction of a national integrated
computing‑power network hub in the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area
(GBA). The plan mandates optimization of data‑center spatial layout, rapid
expansion of edge computing and creation of a cloud–edge–end collaborative
computing service system. It also calls for proactive deployment of 6G and
satellite internet: establish a Guangdong 6G industry innovation development
alliance, advance ministry–province 6G joint pilots, and develop application
benchmarks in embodied intelligence, intelligent connected vehicles, the
low‑altitude economy and the marine economy.
