US Vice President Vance left Joint Base Andrews late Saturday afternoon local
time for Lucerne, Switzerland, to participate in talks with Iran, CNN reports.
US special Middle East envoy Witkoff and Kushner were already on site handling
technical aspects. Vance said earlier Saturday the trip’s timing was adjusted
several times over the past week and called the visit a "finely coordinated
process" requiring diplomatic protocol and procedure.
