[Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey Hold Talks in Cairo] Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdel Aguirre, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal, and Turkish Foreign Minister Fedan Hamdan held talks in Cairo on the 21st to exchange views on the current regional situation, including the Iranian issue. Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey issued a joint statement that day, stating that the conflict between the United States and Iran poses a significant risk to regional security and stability, international energy markets, shipping routes, global supply chains, and international trade. The parties welcomed the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, believing it to be constructive in promoting de-escalation and ending regional conflict, and emphasized that the parties concerned should faithfully fulfill their commitments. The four foreign ministers stated that the US and Iran should maintain the current positive momentum, complete the next phase of negotiations as soon as possible, and reach a lasting, verifiable, and mutually acceptable solution to the remaining issues. They also stressed that the US-Iran negotiations must address the concerns of relevant countries in the region.
