HKEX will revise client margin multipliers and client maintenance margin rules at its derivatives clearing house to improve capital efficiency and lower market participants’ financing costs. Changes will be phased to allow an orderly transition: Phase 1 effective Sept 21, 2026; Phase 2 expected in March 2027 pending regulatory approval.
