President Trump said on social media on June 22 that all parties understand Iran
will agree to large-scale weapons inspections to ensure its long-term nuclear
integrity. Earlier the same day US and Iranian delegations concluded a first
round of talks at Bürgenstock, Switzerland. Vice President Vance said at a press
briefing the talks made substantial progress, laying a strong foundation for a
final deal, and that Iran had agreed to invite IAEA inspectors back. Iran's
state news agency IRNA quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman BAGHAEI saying Iran's
cooperation with the IAEA will continue under existing mechanisms and in
in accordance with Iranian parliamentary law and decisions of the Supreme National
Security Council.
