Trump said Iran told the US it has not sought or charged transit, insurance or
other fees on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices extended losses
after the remark, with Brent and WTI both down more than 3%. Traders grew more
optimistic that flows through the Strait will gradually normalize and output
from major Gulf producers will resume soon.
