US investment-grade corporate bond issuance hit a record in June, totaling
$175bn, driven by strong investor demand and large borrowings tied to AI
infrastructure spending, according to a Bloomberg compilation. The amount was
about 60% above June 2025's level and surpassed the 2020 post-COVID
near-zero-rate peak. NVIDIA and SpaceX each sold $25bn of investment-grade bonds
this month, pushing issuance well past dealers' prior estimate of roughly $130bn
for June.
