June 25 — French President Macron said France and Italy want to form a multinational coalition to support Lebanon after the withdrawal of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Speaking with visiting Italian Prime Minister Meloni in Antibes, Macron said the coalition would be coordinated with the EU and the UN to uphold Lebanese sovereignty and back the Lebanese Armed Forces.
