Baker Hughes said the U.S. rig count rose by 10 in the week to June 26, the largest weekly increase since June 2022, bringing the total to 573 — the highest since May 2025. The gain, an early indicator of future output, leaves the rig count up 26 rigs year‑on‑year (+5%). Oil rigs added seven to 440, the highest since June 2025; gas rigs rose three to 125; other rigs held at eight.
