The National Energy Administration told a State Council press briefing that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period it will accelerate new-energy infrastructure deployment across three priority areas. First, infrastructure to accelerate renewables: optimize development models; build clean-energy bases including wind and solar in the Three North region and integrated hydro-wind-solar hubs in the southwest; expand green-power direct connections; develop low‑carbon/zero‑carbon oil and gas fields; and boost integrated renewable deployment. The NEA said it will also raise grid access and curtailment resistance and build a safe, reliable, green, resilient, intelligent and flexible power grid, targeting a >40% increase in source–storage–dispatch capability. Second, infrastructure driven by new technologies and business models, including renewable hydrogen, green fuels, EV charging, nuclear comprehensive utilization, virtual power plants and integrated energy stations. Third, speed up digitization and smart upgrades of traditional energy infrastructure.
