Iran’s foreign ministry on June 28 strongly condemned US military strikes late on June 27 against multiple sites along Iran’s southern coast, saying the attacks violated the UN Charter and the first article of a prior US‑Iran memorandum of understanding, which it said committed both sides to end hostilities on all fronts. The ministry urged the UN Security Council and UN Secretary‑General to uphold international peace and security and said Iran will, under the UN Charter, firmly defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against US military aggression.
