Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on June 28 its naval and air forces used missiles and drones to strike Ali Al Salem air base in Kuwait and multiple US Fifth Fleet installations in Bahrain, calling the moves a response to recent US actions. The IRGC said US fire at Sirik in southern Iran "will not loosen our control" of the Strait, that retaliatory strikes will remind other vessels what the transit rules are, and warned US regional bases will "experience hell" in coming days.
