Google told Meta in March it could not fill all requested Gemini compute purchases; the shortfall has disrupted and delayed some of Meta's internal AI projects. Several other Google customers were also affected to a lesser degree, FT said, with Meta particularly hard hit owing to unusually high demand for Google models.
