South Korean President Lee Jae-myung stated that South Korea needs to develop new investment bases beyond the existing semiconductor industry clusters in Yongin and Pyeongtaek, as local infrastructure such as electricity and water supply is nearing its capacity. He called for expanding the construction of AI data centers nationwide and building a more comprehensive physical AI industry ecosystem by improving the collection and utilization of industrial data.
